I haven't posted much in recent months and I apologise. Studying and working at Primark has taken up a lot of time. In the past year and a half I have completed 2 level 3 courses, one in criminology and one in meteorology and another 2 level 4 courses in Criminal psychology and counselling of children and adolescents. Within the next few weeks I start a degree with the University of Portsmouth studying Crime and Criminology with the certificate in the knowledge of policing. Thankfully it's all being done via distance learning and so I can keep my job and stay at home and it's cheaper too. After that's completed I plan to become a police officer, as most of you know.

I'll do my best to post up some photos over the coming days. I just thought I'd update my regular followers on how things are going.

It's been a bit of a mixed year really. In March we were greeted with the sadness that our neighbour passed away due to cancer. He was a good friend of ours and so it was a real shame. A day later my nans brother passed away due to pneumonia. Unfortunately that sort of bad luck hasn't gone yet as a month ago another of my nans brothers was told his cancer is now terminal and he has about six months left. So it hasn't been a great year in that regard.

However on the upside in May I got to do some more formation flying again which was incredibly great fun as usual. Managed 5 flights in one day. I love formation flying, it really requires accuracy, concentration and good awareness. I think it's one of my favourite types of flying as a pilot. We flew in formation with 3 other aircraft which was great fun and we all had a turn at taking photos/videos too. Some of the photos can be seen in my gallery. In between flights we all showed each other the photos/videos we had on our cameras and generally chilled out laying on the grass next to our aeroplanes. The weather was beautifully sunny and hot that day. A perfect day of flying it was.

In June I turned 29. I am getting old! Next year I'll be half way to 60...!

Yesterday I got some feedback from my tutor regarding to my 2 most recent criminology assignments. The comments were great and incredibly encouraging! I only have one more assignment to submit and so my tutor gave me a lot of advice and encouragement for when I am in a position to apply to the police service to become a Police Constable.
Once I've completed my final criminology assignment I'll be starting a level 4 in Criminal Psychology.

So overall a mixed year with sadness, but also promise.

I guess most have noticed of late that all I've been uploading is sunset and snow photos. I haven't been getting out much for the past few months. Since starting the criminology level 3 diploma I find that I'm stuck in all the time. Although it is going well! My current assignment is driving me crazy though: Elements of the Chicago school model and the Lombrosian model can be seen in the British approach to crime management. Discuss... I've been trying for 3 or 4 days to get writing on this one and I am determined to get it done tonight!!! My previous modules were regarded as a pleasure to mark by my tutor so I'm pleased I'm doing so well. Anyway, hopefully when the weather improves and it becomes warmer I'll get out on some more airport trips and trips to local lakes too
Sadly this month marks 1yr that our Yorkshire terrier captainflynn.deviantart.com/ar… had to be put to sleep aged 16 and a half on Feb 23rd.
What's been going on with everyone else?

Just thought I'd update you all on things going on of late.

My hard drive began to fail last Tuesday and wouldn't load the desktop properly, thankfully a friend of mine from Nottingham is awesome with computers and managed to save all my photos and put them on my external hard drive. I then went back to Nottingham with him to visit him and his family for a week. They are actually my ex girlfriends family but I get on with them incredibly well and always have a wonderful time with them. During my stay I went to East Midlands Airport aeropark which is where my friend volunteers and also went to the BBMF Museum at RAF Coningsby too. The weather was good for the duration of my stay thankfully. I returned home on Tuesday afternoon this week.

I've also started my Criminology level 3 diploma. I'm researching for my first assignment which is: Contrast and compare order maintenance in Celtic and Roman Britain, how do they compare to order maintenance arrangements in modern day Britain?

Apart from that not much else is going on.
